Introduction to the Compilatio AI Detector v4.6.2
Key Takeaways
An AI detector must identify AI-generated content without confusing it with content written by a human. This new version represents a significant improvement in both areas.
Generative AI models are evolving every month. So is our detector. Today, we’re launching a new version of our AI detection model—one that’s more accurate, more reliable, and specialized in academic content.
What’s New in Version 4.6.2
More comprehensive detection
The new model identifies a greater number of passages that may have been generated by AI, including in documents that combine human-written text and AI-generated content, where detection is most challenging.

Enhanced reliability
Reducing the number of incorrectly flagged passages was the priority for this version. The number of passages written by humans that were incorrectly flagged has decreased significantly, which improves the reliability of the results presented to teachers.

Training tailored to real-world conditions
The detector typically analyzes texts passage by passage, and its training was conducted using the same approach. It relies on new data: authentic human texts, compared with texts generated by the 2026 versions of ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini in several languages.

Verification based on previously unpublished documents
The model was evaluated on mixed documents it had never encountered before, in order to reflect real-world situations in educational institutions as closely as possible.

Detection in the Service of Integrity
As always, the detector measures and reports: it identifies passages that may have been generated by AI and flags them for verification. The interpretation is up to you. The result serves as a starting point for educational discussion, which remains in the hands of the teacher. This is the essence of our mission: to make authenticity a driver of academic excellence.
Upcoming Updates
Our teams continue to expand coverage, from new AI tools to various types of text and languages. Developing a detector is a long-term process, and we are devoting our full attention to it.
Availability
The new version has been available to all our Compilatio Magister+ and Compilatio Studium users since October 1, 2026.
